About Me

Kate Bergman, Licensed Therapist
Kate Bergman, LISW-S, M.S.S.A

As a licensed therapist with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, I help adults facing depression and anxiety, or who are in need of general support in building confidence and self-esteem to allow them to live rich, fulfilling lives. My home is Cleveland, Ohio, a city I fell in love with while studying at Case Western Reserve University.

Drawing on my knowledge, training, and experiences, I create therapy plans that uniquely address the needs and desired outcomes of therapy sessions for each of my clients. I believe therapy should be customized; that you should receive honest and kind feedback; and that your therapist can help you cultivate and inspire hope.

If you are interested in working with me or would like to learn more about the therapy practices I offer, please contact me and we can set up a free consultation call to answer any questions you have and to see if we are a good match.

I hope to hear from you soon.

-Kate

Anxiety, Depression, & Overwhelm

Sleepless nights, worry, racing thoughts, lethargy, lack of motivation, or just generally feeling ‘meh’–these are some of the ways that anxiety and depression can complicate our lives. Together we can work to understand what is driving these feelings and help you develop tools to move towards peace.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing ®

Somatic Experiencing moves beyond the cognitive and explores HOW you feel your feelings in your body. It adds your nervous system to the equation, incorporating neurobiology, and essentially gives another lens through which to understand the human experience. When we begin to understand how to support our nervous system, we have more options in responding responding to situations, feelings and relationships

Young Adults

Young adulthood is an exciting time full of possibilities. But sometimes, having so many possibilities can be paralyzing and we can get stuck. Identity questions, like the essential ‘who do I want to be and become in this world?’ abound. I love working with this age group because it gives the opportunity to support the individual to accurately self-reflect and to grow into who they want to become.
